Christ Church Fetcham is seeking a new Pastor following our last minister’s move to a new post after 7 years of faithful service.
About the role
Your primary responsibilities will be leadership and ministry around:
• Strengthening our church – Leading church members into a deeper understanding and relationship with Christ through Biblical teaching programmes, Word ministry at weekly Sunday services, guiding and building up a strong eldership team, and encouraging the spiritual growth of the fellowship through Bible study, prayer and evangelism.
• Bringing the Good News to our community – Building our Christian profile through evangelism locally, leading the church in outreach and God-willing, bringing people to Christ and growing Christ Church Fetcham.
A godly man with theological training and experience. A good preacher and teacher, a team player with ability to both co-operate and lead. A pastoral heart with love for people and evangelism.
In addition, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of the church. Ideally, you (and your family, if applicable) would also integrate with the village community and be a godly witness along with the congregation.
About the church
Christ Church Fetcham is located in the village of Fetcham, near Leatherhead in Surrey. Including Leatherhead the population is around 10,000. Our Sunday morning and evening services are held in the local Oakfield Junior School with around 65 regular attendees at the morning service. The church also has a Sunday School with crèche facilities. During the week, the church has a small youth gathering, a midweek prayer meeting and various home groups.
Christ Church Fetcham is an affiliated to the FIEC. We are Bible-centered in the Reformed tradition. We are a village church with a global vision. That means that whilst we enjoy all the benefits of serving in a village with- a strong sense of community and deep caring relationships - we also seek to understand and respond where possible to the plight of humanity and our Christian brothers and sisters across the world.
