We are looking for a full-time male Pastor to succeed our current part-time Pastor.
We are a welcoming independent evangelical church with a 300 year history located in the village of Maulden. The population of around 3,000 people live in around 1,200 homes. The small towns of Ampthill and Flitwick nearby are easily accessed by major road and rail services. We are focused on reaching the village population with the Gospel and we run our activities accordingly. Over the last two and a half years we have employed a full-time Community Worker who has raised our profile amongst the village people. The new Pastor must therefore be able to live in Maulden, close by, or work from an office located in the church building.
Our current 25 church members attend from a radius of about 20 miles. Non-members increase the congregation numbers to between 30 and 40 currently. Our Youth clubs regularly attract up to 40 children from the village. We are fully committed to safeguarding these young ones via the DBS process for the successful applicant.
We require our Pastor to lead, preach and teach the Bible scriptures from a literal standpoint in line with our Declaration of Faith. He must also be able to lead and develop the congregation towards sound church growth. We believe that the Holy Spirit continues to bestow His entire spiritual gifting to the church today.
The position is funded for a period of 2 years initially with a salary between £22,917 and £26,716 pa, depending on experience. Further details of our employment conditions, structure, job description, application form and terms of reference can be found on our website. www.mauldenbaptist.org/recruitment/
Applications can only be considered from those who are UK citizens or who otherwise have a right to work in the UK.
You will need to be able to declare wholehearted acceptance of the FIEC doctrinal basis and agreement with the FIEC ethos statements.
