The role would encompass a wide range of pastoral work, primarily assisting Gary Benfold, the Senior Pastor, in teaching and pastoral care. The successful candidate would lead the work amongst youth and young adults, and work with the elders and leadership team to plan and facilitate the day to day running of the church in fulfilling the church’s vision to reach people with the gospel and to see them rooted and built up in the faith.
An able communicator with a pastoral heart and a calling to reach out to evangelise the lost and build up the faith of those already in the church. A key part of the role will be heading up the youth work as well as working with young adults. He will be responsible for providing strategic direction and support to the team of youth work volunteers within the church and will be involved in teaching, building relationships and evangelism.
MBC is a medium-sized church in Bournemouth on the South Coast and has been led by Gary Benfold for over 20 years with a reformed and evangelistic ministry and a worship-style that tries to encompass the best of both traditional and contemporary.
