Pastoral Assistant

St Giles church in Holloway, London N7, is looking for an enthusiastic Pastoral Assistant to organise and lead our children and young people’s work.

Responsibilities include
– Loving local children and young people, praying for
and working towards them repenting and believing
in the Lord Jesus Christ.
– Creatively teaching and discipling children and young
people to know the gospel better and live for Christ.
– Providing oversight and developing the children
and youth ministries of St Giles.
– Liaising with local schools for outreach.

This Pastoral Assistant is encouraged to supplement
their ministry involvement with theological training
through a centre such as Cornhill Training Course,
London Seminary or Oak Hill College.

Package includes
Salary: £8,000 – 10,000pa (depending upon experience)
Training course fees: £2,500pa
Accommodation: Rent-free use of an on-site, furnished flat (council tax and water rates paid).

20 hours of work per week, excluding Sundays,
with at least 1 full day off per week.

The successful candidate must be a practicing Christian unreservedly willing to agree to and abide by our church statement of faith, church covenant and the FIEC statement on women in ministry.
