We are seeking to appoint a full or part time Pastor to shepherd the church and lead in evangelising the local area. Whilst a salary will be paid, no accommodation can be provided at present. The applicant should exhibit a clear calling of God to the Gospel Ministry and references supporting this would be required.

The church has been serving the Highcliffe area of Winchester for 90 years. The area has a population of 1500, comprising over 830 households of which 40% are identified as social housing.

Once a thriving church with a large Sunday School, the church has seen a decline with a membership now of 8 mostly retired people, with a few others adding to the congregation.

Our services are fairly traditional and based around expository Bible teaching. We use New Christian Hymns as our main source for singing but do supplement this with sheets of other Hymns not included in the book. At present we use the NIV as our Pew Bible.

We meet twice on a Sunday with a combined Prayer Meeting and Bible Study on a Wednesday evening. There is also a Coffee Morning once a month when we invite the community to join with us. We hold other
services and events as appropriate.

We would desire that the Pastor take the majority of our services and lead our Bible Studies and Prayer evening. He would provide pastoral care for the church membership and others in the congregation.
