We are seeking, with God’s guidance, to fill the position of a full-time Pastor. We are dedicated to the promotion of Christ’s name and redeeming power through teaching, preaching and living out the good news of Jesus Christ.
Millbridge Evangelical Church in Minehead Somerset located on the north Somerset coast on the edge of Exmoor National Park, was established in the 1930’s and have good links with the local community. As a holiday destination, we welcome all with a friendly face. The Church is a friendly, non-denominational fellowship of evangelical Christians affiliated to the FIEC with regular Sunday attendance of 35-50 people. Our continuing vision is to be a scripture-based church that makes disciples of Jesus Christ. Demographically, the congregation is inclined to be towards those mature in age from a wide variety of backgrounds. There is a variety of church-based activities ranging from pre-school ages through to the older generation which reaches out to the wider community.
The main responsibilities for this role are:
- To lead the preaching and teaching ministry of the church and to communicate well to the church in areas of outreach and strategy.
- To be part of the existing leadership team and to work alongside them to help implement the mission and vision of the church.
- To help maintain and develop new ministries within the church.
- To provide strategic leadership to the outreach of the church as it seeks to deliver its vision of growth through conversion.
The new post is to start during 2024. Remuneration will include stipend, manse accommodation and pension contributions. Because of our theological position the post is open to men only.
