Important Requirements

We are looking for a full-time Pastor with a vision for the glory of God and a clear gift of expository preaching/teaching to shepherd the Church.

The active membership of the Church is 33, but our normal Sunday morning congregation is considerably more than that, (in normal circumstances) ranging from newborn to 90.

Trinity Baptist Church has a history of strong evangelistic and missionary focus, giving prayerful and financial support to organisations at home and abroad.  Outreach incorporates both annual and regular events including coffee mornings, fellowship lunches, ladies’ Bible studies, children’s activities and literature distribution.

Tenterden is a growing town through recent housing developments giving important opportunities for outreach to the newcomers.

Required Skills

He will:-

  • have good communication skills and be able to empathise with people of all ages, especially in one-to-one pastoral situations;
  • be a man keen to build and strengthen the spiritual life of the Church in conjunction with a team of godly elders;
  • have compassion for the lost and the energy and skill to motivate the Church to reach out to the community.

Applicants would need to agree to our Basis of Faith which reflects a Reformed Baptist position.

We can only consider those who are UK citizens or have a legal right to work in the UK.

To apply please send a CV and personal statement to [email protected] who will send you a job description and background information.
