Leaders' Conferences 2021

It’s been too long since church leaders within FIEC have been able to gather in one place. A lot has changed in the past two years. Yet nothing has changed in the gospel mission that God has called each one of us to.

It will take a while to understand what the ‘new normal’ will look like in our culture, but what about the church? Will we simply slot back into pre-Covid life? Or is this a golden opportunity to rethink everything?

At the 2021 Leaders’ Conferences we want to encourage you in the glorious normal to which we must re-commit. This year we have decided to hold regional day conferences rather than a longer, national conference. It means we are still able to gather and connect in person but with smaller numbers and less travel. We hope to be back together in one place in 2022.

These conferences are not just for senior pastors. We want to help and support church leaders for every type of ministry. So whether you’re a pastor, elder, deacon, women’s worker, ministry spouse, youth worker, evangelist, or any other church leader: we would love to welcome you.

What to expect

Each conference will consist of three main sessions, alongside lunch together and refreshments. Johnny Prime will preach on the glorious God who has kept working in and through our churches, even during the pandemic. John Stevens will remind us that the work of the gospel remains the same, even as we contextualise to life after lockdown.

A different local pastor will preach at each venue on the big picture vision of the church in Revelation 7 and how local churches fit into that plan of salvation.

A bookstall run by 10ofThose will have offers on a specially curated list of books. We’ve handpicked key titles from a range of topics to allow you focused time for browsing and buying.

Booking details

Each conference will take place from 10am to 4:30pm. You can arrive anytime from 9:45am, with tea and coffee served from 10am, and the first session taking place at 10:30am.

Though the conferences finish at 4:30pm, you might want to consider arranging a meal with other church leaders in the local area after the conference. Not only does this give you extra time to catch-up and discuss the day, but it means you will miss rush hour traffic or benefit from lower public transport prices.

The price per person is £25, including lunch and refreshments.

Please note that bookings for each conference will close one week before the conference takes place: 1 November for Wales; 3 November for Midlands; 5 November for London; 8 November for Edinburgh; 10 November for North of England.

Coronavirus

A full refund will be given if you need to cancel your booking due to self-isolation or Covid symptoms.

There will be a separate area at each conference for those who wish to socially distance and/or wear face coverings. We will ask your preference before the conference to ensure we can mark out the right amount of seats for this.

Face coverings are required to be worn (unless exempt) at the conferences held in Cardiff and Edinburgh due to the legal requirements in Wales and Scotland for public indoor areas. Face coverings can be removed when eating or drinking.
