A refreshing conference for women in ministry.
Thrive is for women’s workers specifically set apart by their local church for pastoral or word ministry amongst women. It’s a great opportunity to meet others in similar roles, be encouraged and learn from one another. Our hope is that those who come to Thrive will be both spiritually and physically refreshed.
We are delighted that Siân Baker will be our main speaker. Siân is part of the staff at Lansdowne Church in Bournemouth, where she works alongside her husband Peter, the Senior Minister. She is involved in pastoral care, is part of the Women’s Ministry Team and often assists with the planning and co-ordination of services. With a background in media, she spent many years at BBC Wales in Cardiff, where she produced programmes mainly in the area of Religion and Ethics.
The retreat will be held at Holland House between Pershore and Evesham in Worcestershire; an interesting mix of very old and more recent buildings set within three acres of beautiful gardens that slope down to the River Avon. In their words, it’s “the ideal location for meeting with friends, colleagues or enjoying the peace and tranquillity.”
Thrive will take place from Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 May, starting and ending with lunch.
