A day conference for pastors and their wives.
This is one of 12 conferences we’re running in different locations throughout 2018. Click here to see the others.
“There was something singularly attractive about Mr. M’Cheyne’s holiness. It was not his matter nor his manner either that struck me; it was just the living epistle of Christ – a picture so lovely, I felt I would have given all the world to be as he was…”
[said by one of M’Cheyne’s hearers]
Robert Murray M’Cheyne is quoted as saying, “The greatest need of my people is my personal holiness.” Why? Because holiness is a vital part of gospel ministry.
So how is your holiness? Are you concerned about the gap between what you preach and how you live? Watching our lives, as well as our doctrine, really matters.
The starting point for our conferences this year is Paul’s call to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:8-9: “But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life.” We will explore the implications of this for pastoral ministry and gospel advance.
Johnny Prime (FIEC Pastoral Ministries Director), together with others, will lead us through a day to warm our hearts and sharpen our thinking on this vital theme of holiness.
As well as being refreshed and renewed, there will be plenty of time to share local news; to pray for each other; to talk over food; and to encourage purposeful partnership.
Sharing in the holiness of our Lord Jesus takes time and action. Your 2018 diary will fill up very quickly. Please find the conference nearest to you. Book the date now. Encourage your gospel partners to come with you. It will be great to see you.
Each conference will begin at 10am with refreshments, and will finish at 3:30pm. Lunch will be provided.
Attendance is free of charge, but you must still book your place in advance.
