Our Ministry Wives Retreat offers pastoral refreshment along with physical and spiritual rest for women married to men serving in FIEC churches and women who are married to men in our Pastors' Network.
We are delighted that Elinor Magowan will be our main speaker this year. Elinor joined the FIEC staff team at the beginning of 2019, working alongside Elisabeth Smyth as Women’s Ministry Coordinator. Elinor has many years experience of Christian ministry, initially with UCCF and for the past 18 years supporting her husband, David, who now co-pastors Carey Baptist Church in Reading. More recently Elinor has worked with UFM as the Mission’s Women’s Pastoral Worker.
In a world where we have so many calls on our time and energy, it’s hard to set priorities. Taking as her theme “One Thing”, Elinor will take us to three passages in the Bible to help us know what is vital to our life and service as ministry wives.
The retreat will once again be held at Holland House between Pershore and Evesham in Worcestershire; an interesting mix of very old and more recent buildings set within three acres of beautiful gardens that slope down to the River Avon. In their words, it’s “the ideal location for meeting with friends, colleagues or enjoying the peace and tranquillity.”
The retreat will take place from 4pm Wednesday 15 May to 2pm Friday 17 May 2019.
The cost for the retreat is £195.
If cost is an issue please get in touch. We wouldn’t want finance to be the cause of anyone being unable to join us and any such enquiry will be dealt with in strict confidence.
Places are limited by the capacity of the venue, so we would suggest you book early to avoid disappointment. If you need additional information, please get in touch by using our contact form and selecting the ‘Women’s Ministry’ option.
