A retreat for the wives of men employed in gospel ministry in FIEC churches and wives of men in our Pastors' Network.
Our Ministry Wives Retreat offers pastoral refreshment along with physical and spiritual rest for women married to men serving in our churches and women who are married to men in our Pastors’ Network.
We are delighted that Siân Baker will be our main speaker. Siân is part of the staff at Lansdowne Church in Bournemouth, where she works alongside her husband Peter, the Senior Minister. She is involved in pastoral care, is part of the Women’s Ministry Team and often assists with the planning and co-ordination of services. With a background in media, she spent many years at BBC Wales in Cardiff, where she produced programmes mainly in the area of Religion and Ethics.
The retreat will be held at Holland House between Pershore and Evesham in Worcestershire; an interesting mix of very old and more recent buildings set within three acres of beautiful gardens that slope down to the River Avon. In their words, it’s “the ideal location for meeting with friends, colleagues or enjoying the peace and tranquillity.”
The retreat will take place from Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 May 2018.
The cost for the retreat is £190. Book your place by clicking the ‘Book for event’ button above.
If cost is an issue please get in touch. We wouldn’t want finance to be the cause of anyone being unable to join us and any such enquiry will be dealt with in strict confidence.
Places are limited by the capacity of the venue, so we would suggest you book early to avoid disappointment. If you need additional information then please contact Elisabeth Smyth (FIEC Women’s Ministry Coordinator) using our contact form.
